WAYZATA (November 3, 2008 ) – Steiner Development. Inc. acted as developer on a land sale between long time neighborhood businessman Mr. Larry Olson and Aldi, Inc. of Minnesota. The site known as 271-281 Ruth Street owned by Mr. Olson had consisted of two parcels; one occupied by a vacant restaurant and the second a Marathon C-store. Mr. Olson operated the C-Store at Ruth Street and Suburban Avenue for over 39 years.

Steiner Construction Services will build Aldi's newest prototype on the site with completion anticipated for early Spring 2009. The scale of the retail building will be 16,800 sf and the exterior design and layout incorporates the Sun-Ray Suburban revitalization vision for pedestrian-friendly access from Ruth Street and Suburban Avenue. Address for the new store will be 2005 Suburban Avenue.
