Tongen, Vice President - Steiner Construction Services
Galen joined the company in 1981 as Project Manager, and assumed the duties of
Vice President - Construction in 1988. He has been responsible for overseeing
over 2.5 million square feet of new project construction for the company's own
portfolio and build-to-suit business for third parties. His most notable construction
projects are the Mammoth Building (230,000 sf), the EdenWoods Business Center
(167,000 sf), the Arboretum Business Center (226,000 sf), Arctic Fox Manufacturing
(56,000 sf), and Osborne Commerce Center (151,000 sf). His areas of expertise
include but are not limited to; estimating, pre-construction services, design/build,
project scheduling, fast track construction, accounting and negotiating contracts.
Galen has extensive experience in office/warehouse, tenant improvements, industrial,
retail, office, laboratory and medical facilities. He is also a member of the
Minnesota Construction Association (MCA).
