Matt Lucas

Vice President - Development
Matt is responsible for sourcing development business for the Steiner companies as well as real estate investments for the Steiner portfolio.

Matt provides underwriting and market analyses to determine feasibility of proposed projects, negotiates terms of purchase agreements for developments and acquisitions, and leads the team of service providers required for project due diligence and execution. Additionally, Matt serves as Steiner Development’s point man for proposing projects to governmental agencies and negotiating governmental approvals and land entitlements. Matt is an active member in the commercial real estate community and represents Steiner Development with brokers, industry associations, and business networks.

Prior to this position, Matt was Development & Leasing Manager for CSM Corporation where he worked five years. He was responsible for pre-development feasibility and development project management in multiple disciplines including industrial, office showroom, multi-story office, retail, and hotel. He was also responsible for a 1,500,000 square foot institutional-grade portfolio, providing advisory on asset strategic planning, marketing, and lease negotiation.

Matt is a graduate of Saint John’s University and holds an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
